Under what conditions will the EAS RF label trigger an alarm?

2025-03-11

EAS RF labels will trigger alarms in the following states:

Tags not removed or destroyed: When the EAS RF label on the product is not removed or destroyed from the product (for example, it is not removed by the staff at checkout), it will be detected by the system and trigger an alarm when passing through the anti-theft detector area at the store entrance.

Tags not unlocked or removed: Some EAS labels need to be unlocked by a specific unlocking device (such as a magnetic unlocker or electronic unlocker). If this step is not performed, the circuit in the tag will remain intact and will be detected when passing through the detection area, triggering an alarm.

When the tag approaches the detector: EAS RF labels are embedded with special RF signals. When the tag passes through the detector at the door, if it is not normally removed or destroyed, the RF signal will be detected and the system will trigger an alarm.

Tag damage or misoperation: In some cases, if the label itself is damaged, it may cause the sending of erroneous signals, or some electronic tags may also trigger unnecessary alarms due to manufacturing defects.

Frequency interference: In some special cases, frequency interference may cause EAS system false alarms, that is, the label may not be removed, but the alarm may also be triggered due to the presence of interference signals.

In general, EAS radio frequency labels mainly trigger alarms by detecting labels signals that have not been removed or destroyed, ensuring that goods are not stolen when leaving the store.
