RF soft tags and AM soft tags are two common anti-theft tags, and there are some differences between them in working principles and usage scenarios.
Working principle:
RF soft tags: RF soft tags work within the wireless radio frequency range. When the tag passes through the access control system, the access control system will send a wireless radio frequency signal to the tag, activate the tag and cause it to generate a response signal, thereby triggering the alarm of the access control system.
AM soft tags: AM soft tags work within the acoustic magnetic range. When the tag passes through the access control system, the access control system will send an acoustic magnetic signal to the tag, activate the tag and cause it to generate a response signal, thereby triggering the alarm of the access control system.
Anti-interference ability:
RF soft tags: Relatively speaking, RF soft tags have better stability in electromagnetic interference environments and stronger interference ability to electromagnetic waves.
AM soft tags: AM soft tags may be affected by external interference in some electromagnetic environments, resulting in false alarms or missed alarms.
Anti-theft distance:
RF soft tags: RF soft tags usually have a longer recognition distance, which can achieve relatively long-distance recognition and alarm.
AM soft tag: AM soft tag is relatively close to poultry, and is suitable for some small or dense commodity anti-theft needs.
Cost:
RF soft tag: Generally speaking, the production cost of RF soft tag is low.
AM soft tag: The production cost of AM soft tag is relatively high.
